I've had the 4100 for about a year and a half and the power has been severely reduced. My old chonky 4100 was fantastic and it was cheaper, but I lost the charger.
I think I'm going to try one of the Chinese brushes after this one. Spending $40 on a toothbrush just feels wrong.
my chinese hair clippers are fantastic so maybe those will be good too

Good deal. Some talk about the Bitvae D2 brush here... I was talked into getting the Bitvae and it's extremely weak compared to my Sonicare 1100. In order to get any use from the Bitvae, I have to use it like a non-electric toothbrush and manually go back and forth.

Most of the off-brand electric brushes are so soft as to be virtually useless.

My Phillips doesn't hold a charge anymore. Can't go a week without recharging.

Do you put it back on the plugged in charger after every use? If so I wouldn't plugging it in wears the battery life down. I only put it on when it needs to be charged and I've had mine for year with no trouble. I think that's the best way to use these types of electric toothbrushes.

Ditch this overpriced trash and try out a Bitvae D2 electric brush with toothbrush case, wall mount, 8 new brush heads that will cover you over the length of the free two year warranty

See if you're under warranty. They recently sent me a new one, was within a year.
